2016 is set to be a big year in the world of rock. We’ve got band reunions, festivals packed with epic headliners and more must see gigs than our bank balances can handle. We’ve picked out some of the rock highlights of 2016 so far, get your devil horns ready guys, it’s going to be a good one.

Slipknot

Are you ready Maggots? Slipknot are back in the UK, ready to rock Cardiff, London, Birmingham and Leeds on their latest arena tour. For those wondering how they’re going to top last years’ Prepare for Hell tour, Corey Taylor has promised an ever bigger show.

‘Any time we get the chance to come over to the UK, it’s awesome. Hopefully the fans have as much fun as we do. We’ll be putting together a great set for them, and as we fill out the bill with bands, we hope the excitement gets even bigger.”

Guns ‘n Roses

The day that many of us thought would never come has arrived, Guns N’ Roses have announced a series of gigs including a coveted headline slot at Coachella Festival in California. Considering this reunion has been decades in the making, fans are understandably excited about Axl, Slash and Duff taking to the stage again. Are we going to be taken to a Paradise City or should it have been left to Live and Let Die? Either way, we can’t wait to see what they have in store.

ACDC

If there’s one thing you can say for AC/DC, they don’t do things by halves! The legendary rockers are back in the UK this year as part of their European ‘Rock or Bust’ tour, hitting London’s Olympic Stadium and Manchester’s Etihad Stadium in June. For those that haven’t seen them before, get ready for rock anthems, incredible stage shows and enough energy from Angus Young to have you wondering if he’s actually been replaced by the Duracell Bunny. For those about to rock, Attitude Clothing salute you.

Bloodstock

A firm favourite with metal fans, Bloodstock returns to Catton Park this year with more big names than you can fit on your battle jackets. Announced for the Ronnie James Dio stage so far are Mastodon, Anthrax, Gojira, Paradise Lost and the mighty SLAYER. Bloodstock takes place 11-14 August, don’t miss out – get your tickets here.

The Daddy of all UK rock music festivals, Download returns to Donington Park this year with a lineup that can only be described as – legendary. Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden AND Rammstein will take the headline slots this year, which means we’re facing a weekend of iconic solos, mind blowing stage shows and enough pyrotechnics to leave the front row clinging to their eyebrows. This is Maiden’s 6th time headlining the festival, speaking of their welcome return frontman, Bruce Dickinson says;
